Mail is a feature in game where users can obtain messages from game characters and developers, usually with rewards attached, or an unlockable feature like Mastery Perks.
Mail works in a similar fashion to Codes, however these are highly customizable and can be sent to certain groups of players instead of a widely available code.
You can see your latest mail by clicking the small rectangular gray ‘Mail’ Button to your left in the UI. It is only viewable in the lobby. When new mail arrives, a notification will show.

Welcome to The Hybrid Café!
From: NaruTo start off, you are given two free towers. You will be able to unlock more of them as you play the game. Come to any empty table to create a game of your choice. You can also join other players' tables. In the apocalypse, teamwork is an important aspect! Be sure to respect other players and have fun!
Oh yeah, here's some Gold. You can't buy much with it, but if you save up, you'll be able to buy some Guardians. These are super strong towers that'll provide great support to your defense. You can also use them to buy some Tower Skins.
100Invitation to the Mastery
From: AlizaAllow me to tell you all about Mastery Perks. These are special cards that boost your defense in a way. It can either be a boost of a tower, or having their prices shaved. Unfortunately these cards do not work in the Master's field. There is an unknown aura that prevents them from working. Other than that, I'm capable of doing anything. However my power comes at a price. You require Mastery Points to use these cards. Without them, I cannot help you, and the cards will do nothing but drain me.
You earn Mastery Points by leveling up. Every 2 levels, you earn one point. If you're level 100 or above, however, you will get one point every level. It is a simple process. If you can't handle that, you can't handle these powers.
For now, I will offer three Mastery Points, for free. Spend your points wisely, as once you spend it, you cannot refund it. I wish you the best of luck, and I am looking forward to what more you can do.
One more thing, I'm not helping you for nothing. One day, you will need to repay me. You do not need to worry about that for now, but I will remind you not to be greedy with your power, as you will end up in shame. You have been warned. Collect the Mastery Points attached to this letter, and you will have access to meet me anytime. Just don't bug me, or I'll kick you out without hesitation.

From: AlizaHowever, it is indeed an impressive feat. You were able to survive all fields, including the Master field. Don't be so arrogant. You haven't even seen the deadliest field yet. I'll explain.
There's another field that's contaminated with Voids, and this one is a lot harder than you think. The hordes that come with this field overwhelm even me. I like to call this the "Grandmaster" field.
In this field, none of my Mastery Cards work, which already puts me at a huge disadvantage. You're going to discover some new Voids with abnormal powers, and an encounter with the Void Lords is inevitable. If you can survive all that, I'll reward you nicely. Real nicely. Plus, you owe me one anyway.
In addition, Mayla is gone. I do not know where she went. She stopped responding after I mentioned this field. So, entering this field is going to charge you. Magic isn't free, and it takes a load of energy to travel there. 500 Gold for each entry, but I'll treat you for two runs just so you can get a feel for it.

They also have a manual on it, which is how I got it to work, and it mentioned something about the apocalypse and voids and battlefields. I don't know what it's talking about, but I hope I don't have to experience all of that! A cat like me could never handle those!

This manual is designed to teach new members of CELRIO how to use the Plasma Accelerator and touring on how it works. For advanced use, please consult a senior Technician at CELRIO.
Chapter 1: Enabling the machine.
In order for the Plasma Accelerator to work, at least two of them are required to be functional. After both machines are turned on, they should automatically emit a laser beam between them.
Safety tip: Do not stand between the Accelerators at all times. It is recommended to put them close to each other when not in use to reduce danger space. The beam is engineered not to harm non-sentient lifeforms, but do take care as some builds are prototypes and may cause side effects.
To reroute a machine to another Accelerator, press the Reroute button to iterate between free Accelerators. Do note that a single Accelerator can host to one machine and can only be hosted by a single machine at a time. When rerouting to an accelerator that is already hosted, its last host will turn off by itself.
Chapter 2: Determining the power.
Accelerators are weapons designed for the Void apocalypse. It is important to know how much power an Accelerator packs to know if it can stand up against high-rank Voids. A powerful machine may perform weaker when routed to a weak machine, and vice versa.
Each machine has three properties:
- Damage, the damage that is dealt every tick.
- Tick Rate, the time elapsed between ticks. The lower, the better.
- Pierce, the maximum amount of targets affected every tick.
As stated, the values vary when routed to different machines. The host machines damage value is added to the routed machines value to determine the damage. The Tick Rate is the average value between both machines. The Pierce value is calculated the same way as the Damage value; both values added together.
Note: Plus-version Accelerators deal exclusive damage to higher-volume targets, making them strong against Larger Voids.
Chapter 3: Usage in Battlefield.
Before bringing the Accelerators to the battlefield, make sure to only bring non-prototype versions to prevent any accident or malfunction from the Accelerators.
It is highly recommended that two troops are responsible with each one Accelerator. No machine should be left unmanned. The beam is designed not to affect those with sentience, so the beam can be shot between other troops.
For positioning, it is most effective to place the accelerators in long, straight paths, to utilize the most of its pierce.

From: NaruTo start off, we've engineered a Sandbox mode on the boards! You do need to reach Wave 60 to get access though. So, Sandbox mode allows you to simulate any wave that you've reached up until Wave 100, where the Void Lord comes out. You can also place as many towers as you want without limits, though the standard limits like Guardians and Master Upgrades apply. Basically, you can experiment any tower or any wave you want. Could be useful for testing out strategies!
Speaking of strategies, you'll have to cook up more of them as we've pitched in a total of 8 new badges for those collectors! Some are really hard, and some require serious dedication! You'll also get a badge if you ever get a Void Mocha from me. It's a rare occurence, but if you can charm me, maybe i'll give it to you~. <3
We also have a new Expert map available! A dual-lane baseplate from the White Void. Who knows? Maybe you'll run into Mini-Delta, haha!
Aside from that, we have the usual tiny tweaks and fixes from our engineers, as well as a few balance changes. Voids should be a little faster in later waves and the Reaper's sacrifice should be more costly.
Your fact of the day: The Hybrid Café is founded by ArenaTech, a partner company with CELRIO. The company is so mysterious, no one knows who the CEO is! Imagine my life not even knowing who I'm working for!

From: NaruLet's start off with a pet peeve, which is having to re-host a table all over again when replaying a specific game! Not ideal, very annoying. Well we've made it so you can just restart the game in the winning/losing screen! Very convenient.
Speaking of the winning/losing screen. You'll realise that it's been completely overhauled! The Heart of Gold has represent once again! It looks a lot better and amusing to look at. Maybe you won't feel as bad when losing now.
Another thing, we also added a new gamemode. What's it about? That's the sweet part.. No one knows! The waves are always random, including the starting cash and base health! Who knows? You might get some rest, or the largest void debut a lot earlier than usual! Restarting will give you the same exact wave structure, in case you want to stick to a seed. You should try it on the new map, Easter field as well! Do note you'll have to have 10 or more wins to be able to play this gamemode.
That seems all for today. We also have the usual minor changes and fixes. If you're wondering why we're giving a little less than usual on the plate, that's because there's only one engineer at ArenaTech doing all the work currently. He never gets tired! I do worry for him sometimes.

Rika can't really deal damage to the voids, but her time stopping powers can prove to be really helpful! She can also buff some spell-casting towers like Fire Mages and Wizards!
In Addition, we have even more profile cards from our community members! There's even a profile card of me!! How thoughtful of them, I should give them one of those Free Food Cards.
Speaking of Food, donuts are now free! You used to have to pay for it, but for some reason a lot of people were complaining about it. Like geez, if you can't pay $299.99 for a donut then go somewhere else.
Then we have our usual tweaks and balance changes. Apparently Fei can boost Guardians leveling, so that's pretty nice.

The challenge is similar to the Grandmaster field, where you fight off bosses every 20 waves! We have enemies and bosses designed by our Hybrid Café staff! And that's not it, the Ghost Pepper Challenge is a cake-walk compared to the Carolina Reaper Gauntlet.. Super hot waves, and super hot difficulty.. And if you look beside the main counter, the fastest eaters are recorded on an exclusive leaderboard! Even if you're not fast with it, if you can fully digest the pepper, you get sweet rewards and a badge!
Speaking of badges, you know those hard badges people work so hard to earn? Well those will be displayed on their profile card upon view! If you have a good collection, now's a good time to show it off!
This next part will be dedicated to the death of something important to us.. A minute of silence for... The complete over-poweredness of the Hitman! For it's price, it was so good you might as well get accused for cheating for using him! And now.. He's been nerfed.. Although you may still be viable, you will be missed as the best economic tower..

From: NaruThe biggest thing we have is the Alien's upgrades have been reworked! Xndra is now a better support tower, multiplying damage instead of adding! Although, this comes with the cost of the buff lasting based on attacks instead of a set amount of time. Poor Gunner! Well, this problem gets fixed in later upgrades. How about you find out yourself, customer?
Next, we have a new feature with the interface! Your Towers' abilities are now all displayed in one group, like a control panel! Very convenient, now that you no longer have to select that tower to activate its ability.
On the topic of the Ghost Pepper Challenge, we INCREASE the competitiveness with the timer measuring up to the hundredths of a second! Now, even a millisecond can help you overtake the leaderboards! Good luck!

You might want to re-visit Aliza, because she's got 7 new Mastery Cards to help you in your defense! It's been quite a while since she made some new ones. Well, it's not like magic is easy. Must be pretty hard for her. No wonder she's always grumpy..
Next, we've heat up the difficulty of the Ghost Pepper challenges! Just know the boss will have much more health with bigger parties. The Inferno Decoy can no longer be stunned, and Guardians level up slower! Although, the speed of the Bosses and minions now scale with the track length. Does this mean we could be taking on the Inferno Boss in expert maps? It could be possible now!
Then we have the little things to appreciate, which are fixes. Oh, and we also have a few new badges to collect! You know, I've kind of lost count for how many badges we have in total. So much to do!
Actually, since I'm already writing to you, I wanna ask for a favor. Due to work, I unfortunately don't have much time to run my errands. You seem to hang around the café a lot, so you must have a ton of free time! You just have to go find these items I've listed, and mark them for me. It has to be for the Master Field too, since the quality is best there. Oh, and since you're gonna be there, you can also help kill that Armored Massive Void so it won't be much of a hassle when I get there! Should be easy for you!

It has come to my attention that a few of our male talents have switched to a female appearance. I was not made aware of this change, and I understand that all of you were also caught off-guard by the change.
The talents in question are Andrew, Haezo, and Delta. I am currently in the process of contacting them, asking if they are planning on making this change permanent. Personally, I do not have a clue on why they would make this change.
Eitherway, as the manager of all ArenaTech talents, I have the say on how our talents will appear in our games. As an experiment, we will temporarily replace the default appearance of the talents to their current appearance. This will only apply to the Hybrid Cafe's Defense board game, and the manufacturing of our trading cards will not be affected.

From: AndrewDear Queen, The Amethyst are currently armed with Plasma Lances. According to the Hybrid conversation, they are not planning for the attack. It seems the Voids are still their top priority. I have gathered statistics, and 304 Amethyst's are injured, and 88 are killed.
While the Amethyst are alert, so should the soldiers. We have just received our refresh of Dragonwaves, and we are armed for any potential war.
In the Hybrid environment, ArenaTech seems to be busy with their virtual board game. The only odd activity from them is that they bought rights to a card game from a Ruby Hybrid, family of Usagikami. Nothing deep after investigation.
In the news of Ms. Ari, today was the same activity. Hunted deer, visited the Hybrid Café, and sat on a chair outside of her home. The same goes for her Void companion. Forgive me, as I failed to hook new information today.
In response to the first piece of news, I will go undercover in the Amethyst Tribe by disguising myself as a fictional character. This has proven to be an effective method.

From: ???- Day 1: Getting out of bed was nearly impossible. And wow, there's really nothing to do at this time. I guess my kind would be out killing people right now.
- Day 2: I thought my body would get used to waking up this early, but my body feels like it's getting vaporized... Who knew a cramped sleep schedule like this is the way to kill me.
- Day 3: I wake up at 5AM. Ari wakes up at 4AM.. I think. I don't know I've never seen her sleep. She does have a bed, though, so I hope she's getting better rest than I am... Eitherway, why is she up so early?
- Day 4: It's been 4 days and nope, I'm still not used to this. I would very much like to return back to sleeping as long as I want. Ari offered me coffee this morning. It tasted horrible. Ari said Void Mocha is too expensive... What even is Void Mocha?
- Day 5: I turned on the TV, and the Ruby channels are the exact same as they would be in the daytime, while the Amethyst channels are all static. If I learned correctly, Rubies are the more active type. So that means Ari is a Ruby right? Hmm... then I would be an Amethyst, since I'm more lazy.
- Day 6: I decided to end this challenge after a week. I don't think I can take this anymore... Ari invited me for a morning job. In the end, I accidentally outran her 5 times. Ari always says stay close to her when going outside.
- Day 7: Final day... Hmm, has my body improved at all after all this? Well, I guess it would prove to be a benefit to normal people, but not me. I don't feel a difference. Oh well, back to long sessions on my glorious bed.
